Born circa 1645 in Abyssinia and captured on Madagascar OR near Golfe d'Aden, on the Horn of Africa
Baptized before August 1665 Cape Town
Lijsbeth Arabus and Cornelia Arabus were gifted by Admiral PN de la Roche St. Andre, to Maria de la Queillerie on 29 March 1656. This transaction was revoked by the Visiting VOC Commissioner Ryckloff van Goen senior, and Lijsbeth and Cornelia then became the property of the Company who could be hired out to officials.
The slave Lijsbeth Arabus was placed on loan from the Company in service to Hendrick Hendricksz Boom before 16 April 1657. On 6 Sept 1665 she was a slave owned by Wouter Mostert.
She had 3 Children
