Linda J. Olender, 56, of Woodchuck Hill Road, Canton, beloved wife of Robert Leve, died Monday, (April 23, 2007) at Connecticut Hospice. She was born, November 26, 1950 in Ware, MA daughter of the late Stanley Bernard and Mary (Bigda) Olender and had lived in Cheshire prior to moving to Canton 14 years ago. Ms. Olender was the Art Director for Keiler & Co., in Farmington for several years. Linda was on the Board of Directors of the Sleeping Giant Park Assoc., published the Avon Land Trust Newsletter, volunteered for the Lance Armstrong Foundation and was an avid bike rider having completed a 50-mile bike ride while undergoing chemotherapy. She and Bob also enjoyed kayaking, cycling, and trekking in the Himalayas, New Zealand, Europe, Canada and South America. Besides her husband she is survived by seven brothers and sisters and their spouses, Bernard and Barbara Olender of Enfield, Stanley Olender of Bondsville, MA, Richard Olender of Belchertown, MA, Susan and Rick Welker of Plymouth, MA, Carl Olender of Westfield, MA, Robert Olender of Hadley, MA, and Theresa and John Eckert of Ludlow, MA; her brothers-in-law, Michael and Rita Leve of Garland, TX and Bruce Leve of Mountain Home, AK; two step children, Lauren Gabrielle Leve of Carrboro, NC and Marriam Michelle Leve of Seattle, WA and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike, Canton, Wednesday, April 25, from 5–9 p.m. A graveside service will be Thursday, April 26, 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter's & St. Paul's Cemetery, Fuller Street, Bondsville, MA.
