Lloyd David Emrick, 86, Fort Atkinson Lloyd David Emrick, 86, of Fort Atkinson, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, at Countryside Home in Jefferson.

Lloyd was born in Fort Atkinson on Dec. 29, 1923, the son of Carl and Eva (Nimmo) Emrick. He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1941.

On Nov. 9, 1946, Lloyd married Marian W. Engsberg at the Lake Mills Moravian Church in Lake Mills.

Lloyd worked for Creamery Package Co. from 1942 until 1950. He then worked as a project engineer for James Manufacturing, later known as Butler Manufacturing and J-Star, for 37 years, retiring in 1988.

Lloyd was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Atkinson. He had been a member of the Masonic Temple Lodge No. 9 for more than 50 years, a member of Fort Atkinson City Band for 39 years, playing saxophone, and a member of the Fort Atkinson Hospital Auxiliary.

Surviving are his wife, Marian Emrick of Fort Atkinson; two sons, David (Marcia) Emrick of Edgerton and Tom (Bonnie) Emrick of Fort Atkinson; grandchildren, Matthew (Leigh) Emrick of Lake Mills, and Kara Emrick and Luke (Laura) Emrick, both of Fort Atkinson; great-grandchildren, Mason and Ellison Emrick, and Noah and Abigail Frame; a brother, Robert (Bonnie) Emrick of Stevens Point; and several nieces and nephews.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Donald Emrick.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Fort Atkinson with the Rev. John W. Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Atkinson.

Friends may call after noon on Friday at the church until the services.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the First United Methodist Church in Fort Atkinson or the American Cancer Society.
