Lonhyna Strilbytsky, daughter of Rev. Ivan and Emilia Strilbytsky, and her brothers were orphaned in 1866-67 after the death of their parents. The children were adopted by various families. It is not known who took care of her brothers Anton and Tselestyn. Lonhyna was adopted by the family of Rev. Barvinsky. It is with them that she received her education, good upbringing and would remember them all of her life, always talking about her saviours for their goodness and humanity.
