OBITUARY:
Cadiz, KY.--

Lonnie H. Fowler, 64, Dawson Springs Road, Hopkinsville, died at 5:32 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004 at his home of natural causes.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Rev. Nick Sandifer officiating. Burial with full military rites will be in Jones Cemetery in Trigg County. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

A native of Trigg County, he was born May 22, 1939, the son of the late Joseph Blackford and Alice Thomas Fowler. He was retired from the Army with 20 years service and two tours in Vietnam. In addition, he was retired after 20 years as a Civil Service employee. He was a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church.

A son, Russell Glen Fowler, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Fowler; a son, Lonnie Fowler II, Hopkinsville; two brothers, Joseph "J.B." Fowler Jr., Panama City Beach, Fla., Kenneth Fowler, Chicago, Ill.; three sisters, Barbara Gertrude Sholar and Gracie Jean Allen, both of Hopkinsville, Martha L. Wade, Gracey, three granchildren and one great-grandchild.
