Lord Edward Peter Lawless Faulks, Baron Faulks QC

Edward Peter Lawless Faulks, Baron Faulks QC (born 19 August 1950), is an English barrister and Queen's Counsel. He was appointed Minister of State for Justice in December 2013.

• educated at Wellington College and Jesus College, Oxford, where he graduated with an MA.
• called to the Bar, Middle Temple, in 1973.
• became a Queen's Counsel in 1996 and a Recorder in 2000.
• member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
• became a bencher in 2002.
• Literary Agent, for Curtis Brown, from 1980–81.
• an Assistant Recorder, 1996–2000.
• Chairman of the Professional Negligence Bar Association 2002–04
• Special Advisor to the Department for Constitutional Affairs on compensation culture, 2005–06.
• In 2010 he was created a life peer as ”Baron Faulks, of Donnington in the Royal County of Berkshire”.
