LOREN ORMSBEE
Loren "Lou" Ormsbee, 74, of 1210 E. Racine St., died Sunday [4 August 1974] in Memorial Community Hospital, Edgerton, where he was admitted Thursday. He had been in failing health for some time.
He was born May 28, 1900, in Janesville and was a lifelong city resident. He was employed at Fuder Cycle Shop and later operated service stations until his retirement nine years ago. He was married to Lovina Christina July 15, 1926, in Old Stone Church, Rockton, Illinois. Mr. Ormsbee was active in bowling and auto racing circles for many years.
Surviving are his wife; a brother, Glenn I., and a sister, Hazel Ormsbee, both of Janesville; and two stepsisters, Mrs. Maurine Stringer and Mrs. Charles Whitney, both of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday [6 August 1974] in Wolfgram Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
