Louis (77), a long family member of former police commissioner George Fivaz and owner of Farm Mondebult near Steynrus, was bludgeoned to death on 19th November 2006.   • Superintendent Annelie Wrensch said four suspects - between the ages of 18 and 22 - were arrested on Tuesday night in Phomolong near Hennenman, and expected to appear in the Steynsrus magistrate's court on charges of murder, housebreaking and theft.

  • Aaron Lifi Khamadi (22), Lekone Daniel Khamadi (20), and Fani Ledimo (20), all from Phomolong at Hennenman, were found guilty of murdering Louis Fivaz (77), a friend, Bettie Smit, and a farm worker, Piet Seshaba (35), on 20 November 2006 on the farm Modderbult outside Steynsrus.
  • Judge C.B. Cillié sentenced the three with life sentences each for the three murders, each serving 15 years imprisonment for burglary with intent to rob and aggravated robbery.
  • Khamadi was sentenced to a further three years and six months in prison for breaches of the Firearms Act.
