Obituary 29 Dec 1972, Delaware County Times, Chester, Delaware, PA George L. Freeman, 63, of 719 Patton Ave., Upland, a crane operator, died Tuesday in Crozer - Chester Medical Center, Upland. Mr. Freeman was born in New York City and lived in Chester's Eyre Park section before moving to Upland 16 years ago. He was employed 14 years as a crane operator at Sun Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Co., Chester. He served in the latter part of World War I. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Moch; two sons, Gerald and Dennis Freeman, both of Toby Farms in Chester Township; two daughters, Mrs. Florence DeMichael of Philadelphia and Mrs. Elizabeth Flynn of Tinicum; four sisters, Mrs. Olga Meyer of Auburndale, Fla.; Mrs. Rose Vickers of Tinicum, Mrs. Ann Eckman of Upper Chichester and Wilma Wilson of Chester, and 10 grandchildren. The funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at teh William S. Bleyler Funeral Home, 500 W. 22nd St., Chester. Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Charity Roman Catholic Church, Brookhaven. Burial will be in SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple. Calling hours will be after 7 tonight at the funeral home.
