    Lt.-Col. Leopold Richard Seymour was born on 2 June 1841.2 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir George Hamilton Seymour and Hon. Gertrude Trevor.2 He married Mary Hubbard Sturgis, daughter of Russell Sturgis, on 5 July 1871.3 He died on 30 May 1904 at age 62.2
    He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Grenadier Guards.2
