Prence Snow (who preferred to be called "Prince" Snow) was born on May 22, 1674 in Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Mark Snow, b. May 9, 1628, and his 2nd wife, Jane (Prence) Snow, b. Nov. 1, 1637. Jane was the daughter of Plymouth Colony's long-time Governor, Thomas Prence. Mark Snow was the oldest son of Nicholas Snow and Mayflower passenger, Constance (Hopkins) Snow. The families were neighbors on Cape Cod across Plymouth Bay from Plymouth town.

Prence Snow was a colorful individual and strong personality. He married Hannah Storrs, b. Mar. 28, 1672; in 1698 in Eastham, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. They set up housekeeping in nearby Harwich. Prence and Hannah (Storrs) Snow had 8 children together, including a set of twin boys, named David & Jonathan Snow.[1] #Jabez Snow, b. Nov. 06, 1699 - d.
