Lucile Gertrude Heim

Lucile was the daughter of George A. Clark and Laura "Lottie" Munson. She married Lewis Heim on March 3, 1919 at Sibley, IA. They were the parents of Betty Ann, Roy, Gerald, Floyd, and Carol.

Aug 26, 1932 - Humboldt Republican - Gertrude Luciel Clark Heim was born on a farm west of Humboldt Feb 3, 1900 and died in the home of her mother, Aug 19, 1932 at the age of 32 years, 6 months, and 16 days.

She lived at her birth place for 9 years and then with her parents moved into Humboldt where she resided until married. She graduated from the Humboldt high school and took up the teaching profession, teaching in the public schools of the county.

On March 3, 1919 she was united in marriage to Mr Lewis J Heim. To this union 5 children were born, one died in infancy. Rutland was her home from the time of her marriage until death. When she came to live in Rutland some old friends were left behind while this was not pleasant she let it bother but little for she soon cultivated an acquaintance of a large circle. We do not mean to eulogize nor unduly laude when we say she was friendly to all, a wife of untiring gifts, and a mother of kindness.

Those who survive her are her husband, Mr Lewis J Heim; four children, three sons: Gerald, Roy, and Floyd, and one daughter, Carol Gene, who is a little over two years of age; her mother, Mrs Lottie A Clark and one sister Miss Altah H Clark, both of Humboldt; two brothers, Mr Henry Clark of Humboldt and Mr Floyd Clark, Butte, Montana; and a number of other relative and a wide circle of friends.

A TRIBUTE - Just a tribute to a wonderful mother, Lucile Clark Heim. It was her little boy 5 years old, who, catching his foot in the railroad crossing at Rutland, stooped and untied his shoe and slid his foot out just as the morning flyer came in. As I said to him "How did you think?"
