About Lucinda Yoder
WOOSTER -- Lucinda Yoder, 94, of Wooster passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 following a brief illness.
She was born in Stark County on April 18, 1921 to the late David and Katie Ann (Sommers) Troyer and married Eli N. Yoder on November 14, 1940. They enjoyed life together for 71 years prior to his death on July 9, 2012.
Lucinda was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She was a member of the East Union Mennonite Church.
She is survived by daughters Esther (Jake) Hershberger of Navarre, Mary Jane (John) Troyer of Gladys, Va., Edna (Roman) Stutzman of Millersburg and JoAnn (Harvey Jr.) Hochstetler of Sugarcreek; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond (Illa) Troyer of Beach City, David Troyer of Walnut Creek and Manass (Carol) Troyer of Louisville; sisters-in-law Fannie Matilda (John) Miller of Breman, Ind. and Fannie (Abe) Yoder of Mount Eaton.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Yoder; brothers, Noah (Alma) Troyer and Vernon (Pat) Troyer; sisters, Susan (Oris) Troyer, Amanda (Emanuel) Schlabach and Alta (Mose) Schlabach; and a sister-in-law, Anna Troyer.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the East Union Mennonite Church, with Pastors Leonard Wenger and Lynn Wenger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the East Union Mennonite Church or on Tuesday one hour prior to services. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
