Ludwig Joseph Hofmann

Obituary: Albany Enterprise, Albany, Minnesota, March 1924

On last Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock occurred the death of Ludwig Hofmann at his home near Albany. Deceased had been suffering with a disease of the lungs for the past five years and death came as a relief from his long suffering last Friday. The funeral was held on Monday morning after a Requiem Mass celebrated by Rev. Timothy at the Seven Dolors Church at 9 o'clock. A large number of relatives and friends attended. Pallbearers were four of his brothers, Frank, Dominic, Rudolph and Bertold and Anton Gruenke and A. C. Lenarz.

Ludwig Hofmann, who was 26 years of age, was a son of the late Joseph and Anna Hofmann and was born here at Albany, where he spent most of his life. He was married to Miss Cora Meyer of St. Joseph, who survives with two children. The following brothers and sisters also survive; Frank and Dominic Hofmann and Mrs. Anna Pratschner of Albany; Benedict Hofmann of Eveleth, Minn.; Mrs. Sophia Lenarz, Rudolph and Berthold Hofmann of St. Cloud; Andrew Hofmann of California; and Leo Hofmann of Havlock, Neb.
