Claimt. says he was in Sir John's 1st Batt., was at Isle Au Noix in the King's works as carpenter in the fall of

83. Is a native of America. Lived near Johnstown at a place called Philadelphia Bush. Joined the British

Army in 1777. Served all the War. Lived at the 5th township.

  He had 125 acres in the Albany patent.  Had been in Possession 5 years.  Had 22 cleared acres.  Had a

house, stable and barracks. Had 5 head of cattle, two sheep, 10 hogs, utensils, clothing. The Rebels took

them after departure of Burgoyne.

Michael Karmen, Witness.

 Knew Claiment.  He joined the British army in 1777.  Knew his farm.  He had 12 clear acres, cattle and stock.
