Luke, son of Ruben Roberts and Margaret Hudson, was probably born in the Kershaw District of S.C. When His father was given land for his service in the Revolutionary War it was in Jones County in Middle Georgia. He is listed in the 1850 & 60- Federal Census, Jones County, Ga. His marriage to Elizabeth Wilder is listed in Early Marriages of Georgia. After Elizabeth's death in 1849, he married Hixley Champion, 13 June, 1850. He was a farmer.
