Luke Sever

SEVER, LUKE A. died June 16, 2012 following a vigilant battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the loving husband of Lori Sever and father of Gary and Cassandra Sever. He was born and raised in Vandling, PA and graduated from Forest City Regional High School in 1980. He was living with his family in Severna Park, MD at the time of his death. Luke was a caring, passionate, outgoing man who made friends of almost everyone he met, and was an avid hugger. He was a skilled chef who has won awards for his ice carving talents. He was a valued employee of Canteen Food Services. He had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Sever; brother, John Francis Sever; and nephew, Mark Squire Sever.

Luke is survived by his wife, Lori Sever of Severna Park; son, Gary Sever and his wife, Megan of Baltimore; daughter, Cassandra Sever of Severna Park; mother, Clara Menart Sever of Vandling, PA; brothers and sisters, Robert Sever and wife, Mary of Stroudsburg, PA, Nancy Sever Muniz and her husband, Robert of Las Vegas, NV, Paul Sever and his wife, Jerrilee of Salmon, ID, Carl Sever and his wife Tami of Effort, PA; and many beloved family and friends.

Friends may gather on Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 6:00 pm-8:00pm at the Barranco & Sons, P.A Severna Park Funeral Home 495 Ritchie Highway Severna Park, MD 21146. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 10:00 am in the Church of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic 689 Ritchie Highway Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment will be in Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville.
