Mrs. Lula Frances Nesmith, 70, of Madisonville, KY died at 1:10 A.M. Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.

Born December 2, 1933 in Muhlenburg County, KY to the late Cecil Latham and Eunice Crittend Latham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Joe Hawes.

She was a member of Fellowship Temple Church.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Clyde W. Nesmith Sr; two daughters, Nyoka Hawes of Nortonville, KY and Cindy Barber of Earlington, KY; one son Clyde W. Nesmith, Jr. of Madisonville; two stepdaughters, Lisa Nesmith of Clarksville, TN and Jackie Nesmith of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 4,2004 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Troy Oakley officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakley Home Cemetery in Manitou, KY.

Pallbearers will be Clyde Nesmith Jr., Eddie Barber, Frank Barber, Steve Nesmith, Dewayne Nesmith and Monty Nesmith.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 10:00 A.M. Thursday.

Memorials may take the form of donations to Gideons International. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
