Lula May Smith

Lula Fike Smith, 71, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, at St. Francis Hospital & Health Care Centers in Beech Grove. She was a resident of Indianapolis.

She was born June 5, 1930, in Irvine, Ky. Her parents were Floyd and Lilly (Lynch) Johnson. She married Clinton Smith on May 8, 1987. He survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Jean Hopeck, Charlotte Bruce and Lisa Jones; four sons, Ray, Glen, Lester and Tim Fike; four stepchildren, Sam Fike, Debbie Fike, Diane Green and Clint Smith; a sister, Bruce Estes; a brother, Neal Johnson; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Miller.

She was a homemaker. She was Pentecostal. She enjoyed quilting.
