About Lydia Elizabeth Allen

Lydia Elizabeth Myers was born August 27, 1853, in Waverly, Van Buren county, Michigan, and died after a short illness of only five days at her home near Glenburn, N.D., April 13, 1908. Aged 54 years, 7 months and 17 days.

She was the daughter of Ruben J. and Abigail Myers and was married to Ezra Allen December 31, 1873, to whom four children were born, two of whom are living, Mrs. Lottie Swartwaut and Walter Allen, both of Glenburn.

She had always lived in Michigan until six years ago when she, with her husband and family and one brother moved to Glenburn, N.D.

She was of exemplary character and respected by all who knew her. She leaves a husband, one daughter, one son, one sister and three brothers to mourn her loss, besides many friends and neighbors.

Funeral services were held ag Glenburn after which the body was taken to Covey Hill cemetery in Michigan for burial.
