About Lydia Anne Bertram
Memorial services for Mrs. Lydia Anne Bertram, a Crosbyton community resident for almost three-quarters of a century, were at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church. Mrs. Bertram was 81. Conducting the service were Dr. Lester B. Griffin, pastor, and the Rev. Bobby Rine, a former local pastor and presently pastor of the Woodrow First Baptist Church.
Burial was made in Crosbyton Cemetery. Adams Funeral Home directed arrangements.
Mrs. Bertram was claimed by death at 4 a.m. Sunday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born Sept. 12, 1904, in Hill City, Tex., she came to Crosbyton in 1914. She and John William Bertram were married Feb. 8, 1925, in Crosbyton.
A housewife, Mrs. Bertram was an active member of First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Homemakers Sunday School class.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Carroll (Marcie) Brown of Levelland and Mrs. Clinton (Gerry) Kennedy of Plainview; one brother, Ross Mayo of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
