Below a photograph of a burial vault is the following (unsourced) recitation: "Beneath this mound is the Howland-Wolcott vault. The vault entrance is in the foreground of this photograph. Only a few monuments stand on this hill-inscribed to members of the Howland and Wolcott families. But there are no stones inscribed to Lydia or Joseph Howland. Nevertheless, both were interred here June 1, 1852, moved from previous graves." [3]
