Lydia K. Mattheis

The funeral for Lydia Mattheis, 88, 423 N. 11th St., Moorhead, Minn., will be at 11 Saturday in First Congregational United Church of Christ, Moorhead, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 today in Korsmo Funeral Home, Moorhead, and one hour before services in the church. She died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 1995.

Lydia Brosz was born Feb. 5, 1907, near Gackle, N.D., where she grew up and attended school. She attended Valley City State University for two years, and taught school for two years near Streeter, N.D.

On Aug. 23, 1928, she married John Mattheis in Minneapolis. They lived in Mayer, Minn., Cleveland, N.D., Billings, Mont., and Valley City. In 1953, they moved to Moorhead. She worked at Woolworth's, Moorhead, for six years, and at St. Ansgar Hospital, Moorhead.
