Lydia, twin sister of James, was not married as of May 5th, 1835 when she signed a document (reprinted in the Vanderpool Newsletter 9.4, page 613) concerning her father, John Vanderpool's estate. This document found in "For Deed Holland Vanderpool", Book B, Page 192, was originally signed by her brother's, Winant, Meadors, Kinman and John and her two sisters and their husbands, Polly and Willis Elliott and Delilah and James R. Walker on April 02, 1832. It gave brother Holland their share of the land left in the estate of father, John Vanderpool for the sum of $66.66. Lydia Vanderpool has her "mark" on the paper but is not mentioned in the document and it is dated May 05, 1835. The reason for this signing at a later date, and her part in the inheritance is unkown.
