About Lydia L. Wambold
Lydia L. Wambold, 91, of Oley, Berks County, formerly of 405 Main St., Harleysville, died Feb. 1 in her home. She was the wife of the late Ralph G. Wambold.
She and her husband were the owners of the former Wambold Brothers Garage, Harleysville. She also worked for the former Mainland Greenhouses.
Born in Worcester Township, Montgomery County, she was a daughter of the late Irwin B. and Ida Jane (Shellenberger) Quinn.
She was a member of the Christ United Church of Christ, Harleysville, a choir member, youth fellowship leader, member of the Women's Guild and a kitchen volunteer.
She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the Community Pool snack bar, a Girl Scout Club Leader, and a member of the Lions Club, all of Harleysville, and first lady of the Lions Club district govenor. She was a member of the Harleysville Senior Center and their Bum-Bah Band, and Pennsburg Golden Agers.
Survivors: Daughter, Una Ann Godshall of Chambersburg, Franklin County; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Dennis.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday, in the church. Call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, 667 Harleysville Pike, Franconia, and 10-11 a.m. Friday in the church.
