Lyle Clarke Brewer, 79, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 26, 1996 after a valiant five year battle with cancer.

She was born March 12, 1917 in Teton, Idaho, a daughter of John Roland and Nora Lettice Redford Clarke. She married Marion Charles Brewer on July 18, 1937 in Hamer, Idaho; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died July 22, 1983.Surviving are five sons and three daughters, Robert Bruce (Nala) Brewer, Ogden; Ken C. (Arlene) Brewer, Clinton; Keith Blair Brewer, Ogden; Russell Marion (Julie) Brewer, Roy; Dean Clark (Annette) Brewer, South Ogden; Karen (Jim) Scoffield, North Ogden; Shannon Larsen, South Ogden; Kirs (Richard) Lindsay, Ogden; 23 foster children, 29 grandchildren and spouses, and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and three sisters, Devar (Martha) Clarke, Roberts, Idaho; Elder J. Richard (Barbara) Clarke, Salt Lake City; LuNone Heilison, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Phyllis (Denton) Clements, Roseville, Calif.; Maxine Hillman, St. Anthony, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held Monday, 1 p.m. at the Washington Terrace 6th Ward chapel, 240 East 4800 South. Friends may call at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday at the ward chapel from 12 to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park.
