Mabel Virginia (Easley) Cooper was born on May 22, 1924, in Halifax Virginia, to James and Mary (Bailey) Easley. She was the fifth child of the union of James and Mary.
Upon her graduation from High School, "Ginny," as her friends called her, moved to New York with relatives, and subsequently met the love of her life, Joseph G. Cooper II. After the Second World War, they soon married and had two sons. Ginny’s early married years were spent as a homemaker. After moving to New Jersey, Ginny worked for Prentiss Hall Publishing, from which she retired. Her life with Joe was blessed, as a day did not pass without her thoughts for him.
Ginny was preceded in death by her brothers, Jacob "Jake" Easley, George Easley and Elmore Easley; and, sisters, Elizabeth (Easley) Coleman, and Dorothy "Doll" (Easley) Duncan.
Ginny was survived by her sons, Joseph G. Cooper III, and Christopher M. (Karen) Cooper, Esq.; grandchildren, Christopher M. Cooper II; Joseph Gannett Alex Cooper, IV; Brandi Michelle Cooper; and Jason Douglas Cooper; great grandchildren, Christopher M. Cooper-Patton, and Cameron M. Cooper-Patton; and,numerous nieces and nephews. Ginny loved the Lord, her Family, the New York Knicks, and Wrestling. She was a resident of Columbus, Ohio since 1993.
