NIGUDAYI (Nigodigeyu) DOUBLEHEAD was born about 1764 probably in Tellico Plains, Tennessee. She married SAMUEL RILEY who was born about 1747 in Maryland and became an Indian trader. Samuel died in March 1819 at Blue Springs in Roane County, Tennessee. Samuel and Nigudayi had five children who were one eighth German, three eighths Cherokee, and one half Scot-Irish:

Madison Riley age 9 entered Brainerd Mission on 19 May 1817 and left before Jan 1818.He lived at Creek Path.He had made good improvement and his character was respectable. See similar entry for Luney and Nelson. (The Brainerd Journal, pg 409)
