Maj. David Baldwin

David Baldwin, son of Nathan Baldwin and Elizabeth Rogers, was bapt. in Milford, Conn., March 1,1724. Yale College, 1748. He had from his father, besides his learning, twenty shillings. He was the "Major David" of Milford Records. He lived and d. in Milford. He m. with OLIVE MALLET, Feb. 2, 1764, and had:

Children: Elihu (1764), and Elizabeth (1768).

He d. May 4,1784, in a fit, and his widow AVIS, was his administratrix, representing the estate insolvent. Was she AVIS DURANT, who m. Feb.16,1784? I believe the children to have d. without issue, as his relative David L. Baldwin thinks. (This would mean he died just short of three months after his 2nd marriage)
