Three of Sarah Booth's sons, William, Charles, and Henry bought commissions in the Army and fought against the French with Wellington, in numerous battles in Portugal and Spain. All three were with Sir John Moore at Corunna (1809), William was at Vittoria (1813), Charles at Vimeiro (1808) and Talavera (1809), Henry at Vimeiro, Vittoria and Salamanca (1812), while William was also present at the final showdown at Waterloo (1815).
