—————————————————————————————————————————————- Malcolm & Louise (Perrault) homesteaded at the Sunnyside Ranch, a few miles up the North Thompson from Kamloops. Then moved from there to Allenby, as a carpenter,and then to Penticton where he built a number of houses for different customers until 1936. He then moved the whole family to Hedley and worked as a carpenter for the mines until 1940, when he left Hedley and moved to Vancouver for a couple of years then to North Vancouver. He worked in the shipyards and was appointed air raid warden for his area. Malcolm left the shipyard in 1945 and started a contracting company in North Vancouver building houses. He took sick in 1950 and retired. Malcolm died of cancer on July 14, 1952 at the age of 63. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/106799852/malcolm-murdock-gordon
