M. March (Denney) Grieb, 83, of Great Falls, a wife and mother, died of cancer Saturday, July 7, at a local hospice facility.
A funeral liturgy is 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
M. March (Denney) Grieb was born on Sept. 3, 1928, in Kalispell to Lloyd and March Denney. March graduated from Kalispell County High School in 1946. She went on to attend the University of Montana School of Pharmacy and graduated with honors in 1950 with a Bachelor of Science degree. March married Dick Grieb on June 26, 1950, and they shared 62 years together before her death on July 7, 2012. She worked at Dick Grieb Buick as an office manager for over 10 years. They raised four successful daughters.
March was a member of the March of Dimes, Junior League, Lewis and Clark PTA, East Junior High PTA, Girls Scouts and a docent at C.M. Russell Museum. She enjoyed playing bridge and golf and participated in a sewing group for 50 years. From early last October through December, March had been working diligently on making beautiful clothes for her family in her sewing room. March especially enjoyed being with her family.
March is survived by her husband, Dick Grieb of Great Falls; daughters March Gunderson of Seattle, Mary (Louis) Del Nagro of Las Vegas, Cember (Curtis) Cherry of Las Vegas and April (Andy) Mayes of Las Vegas and five grandchildren, Niles Gunderson, Colton and Lauren Cherry and Ashlyn and Lacy Mayes.
