About Marcia D'Assignie Hall
Marcia Hall was a writer and for over twenty years edited the Standard Bearer and Missionary Echo. She died in June 1873 after suffering as an invalid for six years from an unknown disease. Upon her death, her brother, Abraham Oakey Hall, Mayor of New York City, wrote a tribute book entitled A Sister's Well-Rounded Life: A Memorial Epistle Addressed to a Family Friend.
