Margaret "Midge" Mallory, 52, of Fowler, died at 10:25 a.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, she had been ill with ovarian cancer for one year.

A native of New Bedford, Bristol County, Massachusetts, and 1946 graduate of New Bedford High School, she had resided at Fowler many years.

In 1948 she was married at New Bedford to Herschell Mallory, who survives.

Mrs. Mallory was a secretary at Fowler High School from 1962 to 1969, and 1969-71 in the office at Benton Central School Corp. She then became the Benton Central High School cafeteria director, leaving that position when she became ill.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and was past president of Tri Kappa Sorority.

Surviving with the husband are a son, Stephen Mallory of Fort Wayne; one daughter, Kristina Mallory of Lafayette; a sister, Dorothy Suffern of New Bedford, Massachusetts; and four brothers, Charles, Richard and Joseph Furtado, all of New Bedford, and Vester Furtado of Maryland.
