Aunty Maggie lived at Koputaroa and we would visit regularly especially during the fruit season as she had a nice orchard behind the house. i recall a swamp down below the back of the house where corn was put in a sack and left in the swamp water to rot "kanga pirau" rotton corn a favorite of the old people. In the latter yrs of Aunty Maggies life I recall our whanaunga "Mat Patuaka" singing this song "When the baby is crying there is always a reason and its as clear as it can be, the poor little chappie has covered his nappy in Auntie Maggies remedy."
