Mrs Joseph Cohorst Dead

Mrs. Joseph Cohorst Sr. died at the family home at Island Grove at 1 o'clock Tuesday noon. She had been sick for some time with a complication of diseases peculiar to old age. Mrs. Cohorst was about 66 years of age at the time of her death and was really loved by all who knew her. She was a; good Christian mother, a kind neighbor and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who know her.

Her maiden name was Elizabeth Feldhake and she was born about 50 years ago. She was married about, 50 years ago to Joseph Cohorst and to the union 10 children were born, six boys and four girls, all living except one. They resided north of Effingham for a number of years and about 12 years ago they moved to Island Grove where they have resided ever since. Mr. Cohorst preceded her to the grave just about a year ago, since which time she has resided with two of her sons on the home farm. The funeral takes place at 10 o'clock today from the Island if rove Catholic Church.
