Maria Ladd

Maria, aged 25 yrs, was the daughter of J.P. Ladd and Rebecca Hazen Ladd. With the full knowledge of her father, at night, all alone she would bear heavy burdens of food and other needs, for miles, to those neighbors less fortunate. When she died, many mourned in testimony of her unselfish sharing. Her stone reads "The Poor have Lost a Friend."
