'Cape and Natal News 4th May 1859'. The Bride, chartered by the Emigration Commissioners, sailed on the 15th inst. from Southampton for Table Bay with 257 emigrants selected by the Hon. Mr FIELD, Emigration Commissioner for the Cape of Good Hope. The emigrants consisted of 49 married couples, 44 single male adults, 24 female adults, 40 male children, 41 female children and 10 infants. ______________
