MRS MARIA WAHLIN
Mrs Maria Whalin passed away on Arpil 12th at 6:30 in the morning at her home in the town of Lund. Mrs Wahlin had enjoyed good health up to the time of her death with the exception of a few weeks last fall after an operation. She was in good health the evening before her death. But was found unconscious in the morning, passing away a few minutes later from cerebral hemorrhage.
Maria Anderson was born April 15, 1859 , in Lund Sweden. She came with her parents to America when she was ten years of age and settled in Lund Township. In 1875 she was united in marriage to Ole P Wahlin., ten children being born to the, of whom seven are now living. One daughter, Ida, passed away in 1877, one son, Alfred died in 1917 and one son in June 1926.
Those who survive her are Carl of Goodridge, MN; Edwin, of Alexandria; Fritiz, of Fertile, MN; Hans, of Oklee, MN; Mrs Victor Miliander of Goodridge, MN; Mrs Gust Berglund and Mrs Anton Berglund of the home community, also twenty-seven grandchildren and three brothers.
All children were present at the funeral except Mrs Miliander.
Mrs Wahlin was a kind and loving mother, a devoted friend and a good Christian woman.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, April 15, by Rev Gustafson, of Elbow Lake, and burial was in the Christine Lake cemetery.
