Daughter of Capt. Reuben Carr and Lydia Tanner, who married October 1, 1801 in Pleasant Mount, Wayne County, Pennsylvania, USA.

Mariah Palmer Carr married Levi Moses Wright, July 4, 1831 in Middlesex, Yates County, New York.

August 30, 1938 - per Mrs. Minnie Cobb of Bear Lake, Pennsylvania. Mariah was quite stout.

Mariah's middle name "Palmer" was her Great Grandmother's maiden name - Mary Palmer, who was the daughter of Daniel Palmer Jr. and Mary Hewit Palmer. Mary Palmer married Sgt. Samuel Stanton Sr. on November 7, 1754 in Voluntown, New London, Connecticut, USA. Samuel Stanton and Mary Palmer had a daughter, Lydia Stanton, who married Col. Joseph Tanner on May 27, 1784 in Preston-Griswold, New London, Connecticut, USA. Joseph and Lydia (Stanton) Tanner had Lydia Tanner on July 7, 1786 in Plainfield, Windham, Connecticut, USA. Lydia (Tanner) Carr died on October 9, 1811 in Pleasant Mount, Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA.

Maria died on Saturday - Aged: 72 Years, 1 Month, 20 Days - Mariah became speechless while at the table. She lived about 2 weeks. She was out of her mind considerable.

I believe the headstones had been knocked off there cement bases at one time, when they were put back on their cement bases were accidentally mixed up with each other. If you look at the old black and white photos from 1938, you can see that Mariah's headstone is sitting on the left side and Levi's headstone is on the right side. The current day photo shows Mariah's headstone on the right side while Levi's headstone is on the left side.
