Samuel & Maire moved from Quebec Providence into Ontario Providence, where their children were born except the last one who was born in Ohio,Usa- they became the parents of (9 children)There is no record of their conversion of the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS, but at about this same time there was an influx from Lower Canada to Nauvoo and Kirtland and some of the early pioneers who ere later promient church members and leaders came, among them were John Taylor and the Lance's family. The Lance family settled in Nauvoo, Marie Allard Lance and her married daughter Nancy, wife of Charles Stuart (Stewart) and Nancy's daughter Mary were members of the first Releif Society when it was organized on March 17, 1842. They were not charter members at the first meeting but joined at a later meeting and were active in that organization. In 1847 they began the long slow journey across the plains to Utah and sent the winter of 1857-1848 in Winter Quarters, while spending the winter in Winter Quarters, Nancy Lance Staurt married Hyrum B. Dayton and Marie Louise married William Draper. Marie Louise and her family & Hyrum & Nancy and their family settled in American Fork,Utah, Nancy & Marie were active in organizing the Relief Society in that ward, organized 23 October 1856, also a member of that Releif Society was Marie Louise's daughter-in-law Mary Jane Marsh Lance wife of Jacob Lance. Marie Louise Allhor Lance passed away 1862 in American Fork,UT,USA
