Marie Moore

Marie was the daughter of Everett and Margie Woodell Sampson. She married Charlie Hadden Moore on Dec. 13, 1911 in Robeson County, North Carolina.

The following was taken from the Feb. 16, 1973 edition of THE ROBESONIAN:

Mrs. Marie Moore, 85, died Wednesday at her home on Maxton Route 3. The funeral will be Saturday at 3 p.m. in Old Prospect Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Simeon Cummings. Burial will be in the family cemetery on the Luther Moore estate. The family will be at Revels Funeral Home tonight from 6:30 until 9 o'clock.

Surviving are her daughters, Mrs. Simmie Dial and Mrs. Dale Rhodes of Osceola, Ind. and Mrs. Mary Morehead of Montpelier, Ind.; her sons, Curtis of the home, Charles of Hamer, S.C., James and Henry of Pembroke; a foster son, James Porter of Pembroke; her sisters, Mrs. Rose Carter and Mrs. Josephine Hunt of Pembroke and Mrs. Vernon Freeman and Mrs. Sadie Hunt of Lumberton; her brothers, Walter Sampson of Tampa and Warren Sampson of Lumberton; 12 grandchildren.
