Marie Penner

My dear companion, Marie Toews Penner, mother and grandmother, was born in Kleefeld, Manitoba to Henry W. and Marie Penner Toews on the 14th of Feb. 1893. She peacefully passed away in the St. Boniface Hospital on Nov. 12, 1972, at 12:55 P.M. at the age of 79 years and 9 months.
When she was 17 her mother died, and it was at this time the Master called. After repenting of her past, she was accepted by Him as His child and was baptized into church fellowship, to which promise she remained faithful to the end.
We were united in holy matrimony on Jan. 27, 1926 by the late Jacob T. Wiebe. To this union were born 3 daughters and 3 sons. Her parents, 4 brothers, 5 sisters and 1 daughter in infancy, predeceased her in death. We shared our joys and sorrows for 46 years and 9 months. Mother had a deep concern for her family in the spiritual and natural welfare.
We that mourn her departure are: me, her husband Frank G. Penner; 3 sons and 2 daughters: Vernie and Rosaline of Steinbach; Alvin and Leona, of Cartwright; Lily and Jake Wiebe, of Ste. Anne; Rose and John Ginter of Ste. Anne; all in Manitoba; Leo and Rae, of Edmonton, Alberta; 30 grandchildren; 5 brothers and 1 sister: Peter and Cornelius Toews of Inman, Kansas; Isaac of Steinbach; Helen, Mrs. Henry Loewen of Linden, Alberta; Jacob Toews of Ste. Anne; and David Toews of Whitemouth --The Family
