Mrs. Clifford A. Claimed By Death

~Mrs. Clifford A.(Marie) Reed, of 28 Lourim Court, Battle Creek, died at 2:20 o'clock this morning at Community Hospital in Battle Creek after being admitted Monday evening. She had been seriously ill the past two months. ~She was born August 27, 1902 in Lee township, the daughter of Earl George and Carey Lovina (Sturgis) Cushman. She was married March 4, 1937 in Angola, Indiana to Clifford A. Reed. Mrs. Reed was a member of the Bryant chapter of the Eastern Star of Battle Creek. ~Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Harold C. Palmer; one granddaughter, four step-children from LaPorte, Ind., five sisters, Mrs. Merrill (Vila) Van Arman, Lee township, Mrs. Jake (Isabelle) Hisler, Springport, Mrs. Leonard (Daisy) Smith, Marshall, Mrs. Earl (Hazel) Midlam Jr., Lee township, Mrs. Duane (Donna) Sundberg, Convis township, two brothers, Seth Cushman, St. Petersburg Fla., and Donald Cushman, Lee township, and several nieces and nephews.
