About Marija Ožbolt (Wolf)
Marija Wolf was very distinguished Croatian Partisan, member of Antifascist Women Front (Antifašistička Fronta Žena – AFŽ) During WWII in Croatia, Antifascist Women Front (Antifašistička Fronta Žena – AFŽ) was an extremely powerful force: women were fighters against Nazi occupator and their domestic allies, nurses in partisan hospitals, teachers for children refugees, and much more. The role of AFŽ in fighting Nacism in Croatia has not been fully recognized yet. She was wife of Stjepan Ožbolt (Yugoslavian Slavic form of Osbolt/Osbold), greatgrandson of Axel Ožbolt the Imperial Austro-Hungarian Senior Forestkeeper. They have has a son Vlado and a daughter Stefanija. Stefanija married prof. Alfred Krupa the Polish Painter of 18th century Szlachta of Jewish Extraction origin. By her own words we know that her family arrived from Austria in 19th century. atDNA research of her greatgrandson Alfred Freddy Krupa in 2011 revealed very strong Anglo-Irish-Scandinavian origin (in opposition to Austro-German origin), and as such confirmed root origin of this Wolf family and most Wolfs/Wolfes from Anglo-Normans (Vikings).
