About Marinda (Rendy) Garvey
The name Rendy Garvey shows up in Thomas Garvey's probate documents, along with Obediah and wife Mary, leading to the conclusion that she may have been one of Thomas's two female children indicated in the 1810 Census - she's the right age, between 40-50. However no other documented connection or record has been found at this point, so she may actually be related in some other way.
As of this July, 2013 writing, there is no source document to prove that Marinda was Thomas' daughter. This is a supposition based on the fact that she was born in NC (per Census doc) in about the right year and is living in Duplin County with no spouse indicated on the Census doc. Further research is needed to validate the assumptions made thus far.
