Mark A. Rager, 47, of Decatur, passed away at 4:40 am Saturday, July 26, 2008 at his residence. Services to celebrate Mark's life will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Compton. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm, Monday, July 28 at the funeral home. Interment with the "Flight Home" ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society. Online condolence may be sent to www.gracelandfairlawn.com. Mark was born on September 14, 1960 in Lincoln, Illinois, the son of James and Margie (Boyd) Rager. He married Diane Smith on June 2, 1984 in Decatur. Surviving are his wife Diane, two sons: Zach and Lucas Rager, both of Decatur, four brothers: Steve (Delores) Rager of Decatur, David (Kelly) Rager of Orlando, FL, Greg Rager of Lincoln, and Phillip (Maria) Rager of Fort Worth, TX, two sisters: Delores (Lyndol) Kingsley of Lincoln, and Debbie (Terry) Wooldridge of Fort Worth, TX, many nieces and nephews, father- in- law: George Smith of Decatur, best friend: Gene Telfer of Decatur. He was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Rager and mother-in-law Edith Smith.
