Mark H. Rogers Dies as Result of Fall

Manufacturer of Upholstery Fabrics Founded Company of His Name Here in 1892.

Mark H. Rogers, manufacturer of upholstery and drapery fabrics, died on Sunday in Lenox Hill Hospital, where he was taken Thursday after he had fallen down a flight of stairs in the New York Furniture Exchange Building. 206 Lexington Avenue. He was 61 years old.

Mr. Rogers came to this country from Russia when a boy and in 1892 founded the M.H. Rogers Company. In 1919, he incorporated the concern. Its offices are now at 1 Park Avenue. Until his accident last week he had been active in this company and also in Simonson, Rogers & Co., Inc., 45 West Nineteenth Street, manufacturers of linings, of which he was an officer. He was active in the affairs of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies and was division head of the upholstery trade. Mr. Rogers was a Mason and an Elk.

His widow, Mrs. Minnie S. Rogers: two sons, Herbert M. Rogers and Sydney I. Rogers, and two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Berson and Mrs. Mildred Bloom, survive.

A funeral service will be held this morning at Temple Israel, 210 West Ninety-first Street. Burial will take place in Maimonides Cemetery.

Funeral services at Temple Israel of the City of New York, 210 West 91st St., Tuesday, April 24, at 10 A.M. Remains reposing at the West End Funeral Chapel, 200 West 91st St.
