Martha Balch Clements

The seventh child born to Ben and Patsy was Martha Balch Hardin born in Jan. 4, 1817, in Wayne County, Tennessee. She married to Emanul Clements in Wayne County. He was born on May 10, 1823 in Kentucky. His father was William Clements. They had thirteen children: Benjamin Hardin Clements born July 10, 1837, William Clements Jr. born Sep. 21, 1839, Mary Jane Rebecca Clements born Dec. 14, 1841, James Clements born May 30, 1843, twins Martha Elmyra Clements and Emanuel "Mannen" Clements born Feb. 26, 1845, Margaret Ann Clements born Nov. 30, 1847, Joseph Hardin Clements born Dec. 1, 1849, Minervia Elezabeth Clements born Dec. 11, 1851, John Gibson Clements born May. 14, 1854, and Frances Emily Clements born Aug. 5, 1857. Martha Elmyra Clements died on June 7, 1846, Margaret Ann Clements died on Jan. 12, 1851, Frances Emily Clements died on Feb. 7, 1858, Benjamin H. Clements died on July 4, 1858, William Clements died on June 22, 1862, Emanuel Clements died in July of 1864, and Martha B. Clements died on Mar. 26, 1867. Emanuel Clements Jr. or "Mannen" or "Manning" was the first president of the Cattlemen's Association of Texas. Joseph Hardin Clements moved with his family to Roswell, New Mexico, and had the "White Sheep Ranch" in Chavez and Lincoln Counties.
