Death of Mrs. Harrison I. Nutter, widow of Harrison I. Nutter died yesterday morning in St.Louis,at 2149

South Jefferson Ave. from old age, she had been sick about three weeks and her death was expected. Mrs Nutter was a resident of Alton for many years and is remembered by many of her Alton friends,she was born in Carlinville August 10th 1846, the family lived at Brighton for a while and Mr.Nutter conducted a Flour Mill there, but came here after the Mill was destroyed by fire. For years the family lived on Ridge Street in Alton and the couple reared their children here. About five years ago they moved to St.Louis and there Mr. Nutter died, Mrs. Nutter continued to make her home there until the time of her death. She is survived by two daughters Mrs. Leila Anderson of Woodriver, and Mrs. Emma Hamilton of St.Louis, and four sons, Albert of Alton, Warren of Chicago, Walter "Earl" of Greenville, and Victor of Peoria, the funeral will be held from the Compton Hill Congregational Church at 2 O'clock tomorrow afternoon and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Harrison Nutter, formerly of Alton, Mother of W. E. Nutter of this city died at the home of her daughter Mrs. T. T. Hamilton, in St.Louis last Sunday, of deseases incident with old age, the funeral services were held at the Compton Hill Congregational Church at Lafayette and Compton Avenue St.Louis, Tuesday afternoon, her maiden name was MARTHA LEIGH, she was born in Carlinville in 1846, at the age of 18, she married Harrison Nutter who died three years ago, of ten children, six survive, Mrs. Hamilton of St.Louis, Mrs. J. T Anderson of Woodriver, and four sons Albert of Alton, Warren of Chicago, Victor of Peoria and W. E. Nutter of this city, Mr. and Mrs. Nutter attended the funeral Tuesday afternoon.
